(18:6:7) Avraham involves his whole family in prepping the food. You children don’t help with anything. When was the last time somebody in this congregation helped with Kiddush?...

Cutting the Challah at kiddush. Just rip it. We are waiting 30 minutes. If somebody would have helped and taken away the knife so that Chaim would realize that he was wasting all of our time…You can’t figure it out? Every time somebody in this congregation starts cutting the Challah, they realize that it is not cutting right. Pull off pieces. You don’t have to make it look like you are trying to cut it. 15 people passed by and thought you were going to hand them the Challah…Chaim, You were leaning over it, pushing it down with you whole body, just to cut through it. And yet, you still had to rip off the edge.

You all have the wrong outlook. What is important to you. Candle light vigil for Trump’s becoming president, like somebody died. Malka passed away last year. This is her Yarzheit. Not one candle. You feel worse about Trump becoming president…

(21:9-10) Yishmael laughs at Yitzchak and Sarah wants him out…Because he laughed at the wrong time. Just like Janet. Janet, you can’t just throw out laughs whenever you feel proper. The timing in this congregation is off…

His name is laughter, but laughing at him. Now I understand, watching Mechi fall over when he was bowing during the silent prayer was quite funny…

As Sarah explains, ‘For the son of that slave-woman will not inherit with my son…’ She was angry, as I am now. Why did Sarah use the term ‘slave-woman’? She should have just talked about the boy who laughed. Why? Because she would have voted for Trump…

(21:11) Avraham doesn’t like this idea regarding his son, sending Yishmael away.

H’ reassures Avraham that all will be well with Yishmael…but through Yitzchak ‘your offspring will called’…the nation comes from Yitzchak….

What are we inheriting?

After she is in the desert and runs out of water, Hagar gives up and he leaves her son to die. Then H’ tells her that she has heard voice of Yishmael and she must get up and help him. (21:19) ‘Then H’ opened her eyes and she saw a well of water.’

Sometimes you have to open your eyes to see what is there. To see what H’ puts there for you.

Did He put a bunch of mockers in the back row? A bunch of hecklers…Did H’ give you a congregation with a bunch of heretics?

What is in front of us is Donald Trump as president. In this congregation we will be celebrating, for we see the good in Hilary not being president…Yes Bernie, if Sarah can kick out a child from her home, and every other congregation over here and the Chaburah can cry, I can voice an opinion of support for our country.

The commentary on this congregation. Sad. It is not the language we should be focusing on. It is the action. This whole congregation is a bunch of slave-women to the horrible challah cutting of Chaim….

We will never be able to have guests if we do not learn how to cut challah properly.
