VaYakhel Pikudei excerpts

ויקהל פיקודי

Shabbat Shalom

VaYakhel, and they gathered.
Another double Parsha...after the way the guy read last week, there is no wonder that only 11 people came to shule today. It was like the Ba'al Koreh was reading a triple parsha last week. This congregation feels like it already heard VaYakhel Pikudei...But for those of you who are here, lets understand where you are going wrong.

(37:29) 'The work of a professional spice maker.' The tabernacle building was done by professionals..
The sisterhood can't even spread chocolate frosting correctly.
The chazan can't pronounce a 'Taf' right.
The youth groups is one kid.
The Ba'al Koreh is definitely not a professional.
There is a place in the Jewish community for professionals. There is also a place in the Jewish community for people who have inherited money...This congregation has no place...

Those who were not the professionals, still donated. The whole parsha deals with people who volunteered their time and objects. It was not a bother to the community, like this Torah reader who didn't even show up this week. It was too slow for him too...Donating...
We can't get a person in the shule to pay their dues. Yes. It was too much for the Tent of Meeting. They had to tell people to stop bringing stuff. Their building fund was over. It got to a point where they told them it was too much...You owe your rabbi back-payments on the raise he still never got.
We are still at one third of a thermometer on our shule's building fund. The shule is sick, with lack of funding. Look at the thermometer. We are trying to reach 2,000,000 dollars, so that we can build in another city with better congregants...it is at a temperature of thirty below.
We don't even have a professional craftsman who knows how much it costs....If we had a professional craftsman, it would be cheaper...But none of you have ever studied anything, including the Torah...We are now going to wait until somebody learns Hebrew, so we can read the Torah.
The Ba'al Koreh is still in the middle of his Amidah. Hopefully he will finish by the time we start reading VaYikra.

Can somebody please gather a congregation with useful people. Maybe gather a non-heretic to read the Torah.

Shabbat Shalom
