VZot HaBracha excerpts

וזאת הברכה
Shabbat Shalom

You can't read with the Torah while it is being danced with. The Hakafot (dancing around with the Torah sessioins) have taken too long, so I can't give a speech. It should have been one song for each Hakafa, but ya'll did three. The happiness of the holiday is gone. It is not Simchat Torah....

Moses blesses the people. I can't understand a word of it...Artscroll came up with a translation that doesn't match the Hebrew words at all. We'll use it.
(33:28) Israel will dwell securely in Israel, in the 'sight of Jacob.' It is Yakov. Yakov which is Israel, which is Jacob. It is our connection with the past that allows us to dwell securely. 'In the sight of Jacob,' threw the viewpoint of our forefathers. Not through Mike's new idea of a security system, with cameras placed at...It is placed at an exit. What about the at the entrance? At a place that people use...And nobody can break the windows??? You placed it at the exit where you park your car Mike. That is not what Secretary of Security on the board was chosen for...The connection with the past that allows us to live in a land of 'grain and wine...' It is the connection to the past, as the security of our congregants secures us nothing.

(33:29) Moses says that Israel is blessed. 'A nation delivered by H.'' That is how we are blessed. Our blessings are H.' Our blessing is seeing the blessing. Seeing how H' delivers us from our enemies. If H' could have delivered us from that third song at the 6th Hakafa, we would have been blessed.

We are blessed from H.' Gd delivers us. Our people secure because of our connection with our past. If we just learned to connect with our past, like the beautiful people that have passed away in our community, then we would be safe from fools, like...Well get some security cameras up around the rest of the shul then, Mike.
And me it be through our connection with our past, that we are blessed with H' delivering us from. It was just a let down. I was hoping for some good songs...Connection with the past does not mean that there haven't been any new songs to dance to since 'Hava Nagilah.'
We also have to work on our circle dancing. Maybe throw in a One Hand Shoulder Hold to the mix of the Two Hand Should Hold. And may we all come together, as Israel, once again, and feel comfortable enough with each other. May we all once more be able to dance in a circle to the Interlocked Hand Hold, as one community.
It is the past that makes our secure future. It is the dance of the Hand Hold that keeps our children from rejecting our tradition, the atheist...
