Shabbat Shalom

Oh, how the Torah reminds of our life?

Moshe is up on the Mountain and the people think he is late in coming down. (32:1) Right away they ask Aaron to make for them gods. Why? Because Moshe 'we do not know what became of him.'
One moment and they are already running off to find new leaders to lead them. In this case, gods to go before them.
Kind of reminds me of the last summer vacation I took, when the flight was delayed due to whether...The board had 5 rabbis interviewing for my spot the next day...Like (here is where I snap to make it more dramatic), your faith is shattered.
How many of you gave up on your children?
Can't blame you.
How many of you gave up on visiting Israel?
Snow and (snap again for dramatic affect) terror.
How many of you gave up on making a decent choolante?...crock-pot...

(32:4) They even say, this Golden Calf is 'your god which brought you out of Egypt'

Aaron's place in all of this is a little fishy. Kind of like the gabbai in the whole no kiddush escapade of last week...However Aaron does say 'A Holiday for H' tomorrow.' So he still believes in Gd. However, does he believe in Moshe? He tells Moshe (32:24) 'I threw it into the fire and this calf emerges.'...we are falling for this. It just so happens...
Kind of like the Gabbai, who tells Mr. Zacharia, 'And the next thing you know, the Aliyah is gone.'...I threw the Aliyah to somebody else and no more Aliyahs came out.

(32:8) H' notes how the Jewish people strayed from the way so quickly...
Your faith moves so quickly. Because it is a selfish case of faith. A faith dependent on the raise you get at work...Dues are not dependent on that faith. The dues are there to be paid. Not to be spent on the Yacht...Spent on Aliyahs...A faith of the board to take away the rabbi's Mercedes.

(32:26) And Moshe says, 'Whoever is for H,' join me.'
Yes, this has helped many, such as the winner of the Shule Idol last year, who bought off the judges with Shweky's 'Rachem.'...This can be taken the wrong way, when put in the wrong hands. Such as the gabbi and the board.
