Nitzavim Excerpts

Shabbat Shalom

We are all standing here today. Why? Because the new seats have not been installed in the shule. It is the most uncomfortable Davening this shule has ever had...At least people are standing for the cantor's repetition of the silent prayer, like they are supposed to. The only difference is that you all are talking...Yes, that is why they call it the 'silent prayer,' Bernie. This is a silent speech...That means that you are supposed to be quiet for it, Bernie...

We talk of Kibbut Galuyot. Going back to the land. The in-gathering of the exiles...All the curses will seemingly be reversed. There will be blessings. There will be less congregants here, at Congregation Beis Emes Sefilah...Blessing.

(30:7) The imprecations will be placed on our enemies. The members of Congregation Neot Herem will receive the Steinwitz family as members. They will be in-gathered to the other synagogue...
The imprecations are on us. As we speak, Michael still shows up to shule. The Steinwitz family is still forcing us to join them in their classes on social justice...No, there is no justice Bernie. Not when we can't afford seats...Social is wrong, when you are e trying to pray in silence. It is not a blessing to have children running around...That is lack of parenting...

(30:9) The fruit of the land and the animals will be good...Will our children be good over here, when we are returned to the land? When we keep the commandments and do good in H's eyes? Or will our children still be running around with no responsible...You are irresponsible parents who talk and shush...The shush's are louder than the talking. In-gather the silence...
Have you seen the fruits at Kropps this year? Disgusting.
Goodness comes when we are finally returned from exile.
No blessing, because we haven't returned to Israel. Yes. Following the Torah is part of it. But we don't do that either here in Topeka, at Congregation Beis Emes Sefilah. They would never say 'Sefilah' in Israel. They pray...There is no in-gathering to Topeka.
The curse is still here. We are all standing. And now, if every would please remain standing till Wednesday, with no seats, for Rosh Hashana...Only two of you purchased a seat...That is what purchasing a seat for the High Holidays means Bernie...That is social justice.
